Yes they do and it's not necessarily a bad thing either.

Build your own arguments Dont copy and paste it makes you look pathetic. They probably took a entire 6 months to put those together.

JW's are way off track

They don't celebrate christmas somethings wrong there. They write their own books something is more wrong there. Read your bible dont make your own.

The only fundamental difference between Jehovah's Witnesses and you so called regular Christians is the interpretation of the bible.

I'm not saying this for evil's sake, but Christians are a lot like Germany.
Hitler is a bible. You believe the propaganda because that's all you're taught, and you rely on what you're taught first rather than contemplating alternatives.

The difference between JW and Christianity is for one: Christmas has no meaning.. wtf! No presents! I couldn't stand that. And birthday? No presents again! wtf! And some "stagross". That's kinda degrading of Jesus isn't it? Just dying on a pole. If I would like to be respected. I'd chose the cross and not some pole in the ground.

And before you say anything. Hitler was a hypocrite. He was born into a Catholic family. And look what he did to the Jews? disposed them like shitty nappies. That is horrible. So how dare you compare Hitler to Christians! And as for the "propoganda" we are taught. Man, you have no idea do you. You, Adam, Fraser have no idea! You go on some crappy site called Totse, and believe the crap that's on that site. So you are indeed a hypocrite.

Duh! I was referring to the stupidity of Jehovah's Witness stuff. Saying you can't celebrate Christmas, and your birthday. And Cheyenne before you start about me not knowing about any of this. Like Patrick, I have JW relatives aswell. And they don't celebrate either Christmas or their Birthday. That is kinda weird tho isnt it?

That's just their way of doing things, they must have their own way of thinking of why they don't celebrate the birthday of Jesus, it's just not the same as ours.

Like I've said, we all believe in the same God, the same PEACEFUL God, why all the fighting?

Chris, you knew that was a stupid thing to say and that it would get people angry? There were many other options beside comparing Christianity to Hitler's regime, seriously, why bother?

Hitler was an evolutionist, he was doin what he thought was right, somehow he got to the point where christians were bad people and against his cause.

The main problem with Jehovah Witnesses are they write their own books and own rules instead of following the set rules which are stated clearly in the bible. As i said before Follow the bible, dont write your own. I hate it how they turn up on your doorstep, my mum gives them a nice chat Razz eventually they leave completely cut and the same ones never return again.

Errm... *clears throat*, Yeah, I go on that site, so what? I dont believe everything said, I'm often complaining about idiots on there. But just because I go on that specific site doesn't mean have no idea at all that's so far from the truth it's almost funny. I'd kinda say that I have a pretty decent idea regarding religions because i'm agnostic, rather than 'Athiest/Christian/JW/Buddist' etc.

I completely agree. I mentioned this in another thread and I will state it again. We have Anglicans, Catholics, Jehovahs Witnesses, Jenova's Witnesses (nm this one, it's an inside joke. So inside, only I know what I'm talking about), Lutherans, Presbytareans, Evangelical, Baptists, Methodists, Nazarenes, Anabaptists, Pentecostals and Mormans and all of these 'Christian Religious Groups' each have their own different traditions, slightly different beliefs and varying lifestyles. If there is only the one true path of god, why are there so many different paths to choose from?

alot of the differences between the sections of christianity comes down to miracles/doctrine. catholics don't like it when you swear and carry concealed weapons in church, my church don't care because, hey, jesus died so i could carry concealed weapons and not go to hell. alot of the 'earlier' departments of christianity place a higher value on routine/discipline, some place higher emphasis on spiritual gifts, others healing, others evangelism. i don't think mormons are christians at all. the JW 'jesus is not lord according to the bible' in about the time it takes to finish downloading e-sword. but i'll start now.

Joh 8:58. (KJV) verily, verily i say unto you, before abraham was, i am.
Joh 8:58. (NWT) etc... etc. abraham was born, i have been.
by i have been, they take away the 'I AM' of exodus, the burning bush.
i looked at the greek for that too, didn't i, king james wins this round.

Rev 1:17-18. (KJV) Fear not, i am the first and the last. i am he that liveth, and was dead; and behold, i am alive forevermore.
JW's claim that jesus was the second being, not the creator. they also claim that jesus died.

somewhere in the bible, i'm quoting a preacher on this one so i maight be wrong (i doubt it) jesus said 'all power is given to me'. so jesus is almighty. almighty is god.

Joh 3:16, just because it's handy. WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM should not perish. j-dubs reckon that only people who belong to their cute little club have salvation. it doesn't say, whosoever follows the new testament to the letter, or whosoever *yawn* naptime.
by the way, NWT, new world translation, translated, published and distributed by JW's.
i don't have anything against j-dubs, they're nice people, but they're wrong. righter than most, but still wrong.

well, i basically believe that when god appeared to moses via the burning bush, jesus+holy spirit were crammed in there too. they don't. they believe in one god, not that jesus is in fact god in the flesh, kinda disproved time after time in scripture, but they conveniently overlook that stuff.

i've been thinking about that post for while, wilkins, and it sort of seems to me that you miss part of the point of jesus's death. to be humiliated in our place, degraded, shamed. so you kind of just pwned yourself there...

no, i don't doubt that the j-dubs might have nailed it on that one occasion. not that it's really life changing... he died, what he was nailed to isn't really that important, as long as it fits all the prophesy stuff.

There was a bit of a chat about sections here and i was flicking through my bible the other night and found this "by chance"

1 Corinthians 1.10

By the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ I appeal to all of you, my friends, to agree in what you say, so there will be no divisions among you.

in verse 13 it goes on to say

Christ has been divided into groups! Was it Paul who died on the cross for you? Were you baptised as Paul's disciples?

It goes one similarly to this for the next 3 chapters. For those of you who don't know 1 Corinthians is Pauls (the apostle) letter to the people of Corinth, where he had established a church.

Now of all of the things Paul had to say to these people he had left and established to follow God, its in the 10th verse of the 1st chapter that he tells them Jesus should not be followed in groups or be divided. Doesn't that make it seem like a bloody important piece of information to you? Yet still our world today is divided into protestants and catholics and jw's, well do you wanna know what I am? I am none of them, I am one of God's men. (I had a revelation while typing this)

I don't really know why I posted this, there was a reason, maybe it will come to me.

Looking back at these threads, it makes me realise what can be said, and the true gravity of those words. I guess this is what Vicki and Geoff mean when they say the tongue is a weapon. So I guess if you read back on this, you can see a sort of lesson in there. I know I could.
