I was thinking here that you share any scriptures you find that may be of use.
I'll kick it off.
Psa 1:1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers
I dunno why, but this really stands out to me as a way to behave.
Feel free to post thoughts and your own.

Well of course, I'm going to put 1 Peter 1:13-16
And in response to that verse Chris, it's a good one.
I guess it's somewhat telling us we need to be like Jesus, yet be humble about it and that is when God will bless us the most.

when i first got saved, i got my shit ruined by proverbs, haha.
i like all the ones where jesus has all the comebacks, right when he needs them. damn that fella can argue...
my favourite, at least of the ones that come to mind, the second half or so of joh:8. after the woman doesn't get stoned, that one.
i heard one this morning, also, in a third day tune. i think it is best yelled very loudly.

i get chills everytime i read isaiah 53ish, but starting from the end of 52.
doesn't matter where from though really, i get chills just the same...
also, i was just led to isaiah 26. after a bit of a read i came upon a verse almost hilariously confusing...
Isa 27:7 Hath he smitten them as he smote those that smote them? or are they slain according to the slaughter of them that were slain by them?
king james ftw!
but yeah, i got my important thing in chapter 26. y'know, one day i'll get around to reading isaiah, until then though, i'm happy to just be led about. |

I was reading the bible on the toilet the other night, lol, and I opened up to random pages, and what I found really spoke to me...
Take note that these are from a youth bible, so they may be written differently...
Matthew 5:14-16
"14You are like light for the whole world. A city built on top of a hill cannot be hidden, 15and no one would light a lamp and put it under a clay pot. A lamp is placed on a lampstand, where it can give light to everyone in the house. 16Make your light shine, so that others will see the good that you do and will praise your Father in heaven."
And this one REALLY spoke to me:
1st Corinthians 12:29-31
"29Not everyone is an apostle. Not everyone is a prophet. Not everyone is a teacher. Not everyone can work miracles. 30Not everyone can heal the sick. Not everyone can speak different kinds of languages. Not everyone can tell what these languages mean. 31I want you to desire the best gifts. So I will show you a much better way."

Paul writes that beacause you have a new life in Christ, you are to set your heart and mind on what is in heaven. He isn't saying that you should lose your sence of reality because your head ia always somewhere else, but that life in this world will be better if it is lived with the power that comes from heaven. You will handle success, failure, and disappiontment with maturity and piose when you have an eternal perspective. An eternal perspective means that you look at today's events in light of eternity. |

okay this is scaring me just a little bit now i had a dream/type thing about the laeft and right hand of god and that then i randomly opened the bible yesterday and it was the first thing i saw okay...
it sais somewhere i i cant find it right now but it said god is creative in getting your attention even if it means getting a donkey to talk but this this is close enough for me ... |
