Kids have changed for the worst. Kids at the age of 8 being told they are going to be a super model, and being forced to lose weight etc. Kids that can not be fat, or they are outcasted. Even us to an extent, we have to figure out our life in a short space of time. Not being able to experiment with things...

What do you reckon about all this?

i blame society and the media, for making the majority of parents (can we get an amen off penny?) afraid to let their kids out.

back in the day, kids were find to go fishin or huntin snakes or playing dolls or whatever, now it's all myspace this and bloody nintendo that. children, finding themselves locked indoors with nothing to do, resorted to the same stuff as big sister/brother.

I reckon quite simply 'Fuck the system'.

If they grow up on good ole fashioned stories like Thomas The Tank Engine and Winnie The Pooh, with a healthy dose of Looney Tunes and Disney they'll be just fine.

It's when you get them onto this Home & Away garbage, and all this 'Look at me, I'm a whorebag or a lying, cheating scoundrel who would like to have sex with you but unfortunately his girlfriend is in the other room' music that they start to go off the rails. When they start watching movies like 'Lol elephant sperm. Let's go jump of a building with our doodles clamped to jumper leads to see if we can pee before it gets burnt off or we hit the ground' or 'zOMG fast cars and big boobies!' that they get ruined. Extreme sports are also possibly to blame.

These kids need a good dose of church into them on a regular basis. It's good for what ails ya.

I pretty much agree with everything you all have said.

Today we are seeing the worst shows being described as childrens shows. These are not exactly what I like to call children shows. I mean some of the stuff they promote is shocking. What happened to the good old cartoons and childrens shows. This is pretty much corruptuing their mind and saying its ok to do certain things which just aren't!

Parents are also to blame. With a society changing to a society where we have 15 year old mothers that wouldn't know what the word "mother" is. Its a wonder their children grow up learning the stuff they see first because they haven't been shown anything better.

Then you have the media pushing modelling, being famous, being at the top of everything, saying that they don't look good etc. This not only ruins the childs self esteem but in general will cause them to do anything in order to achieve this image.

I also blame the education system. Its a piece of crap. They basically say ok everyone is at this level. Everyone has different methods/ways of learning. If the child falls behind early they never usually catch up and often end up over stressed most of their life trying to understand simple things that were just never explained.

Back to the parents I also blame them again, moving onto the subject of music, I've seen 6 year olds listening to eminem and other shitty artists (wannabes). Children will listen to what they are being told. If a child is being told through a song that its ok to root around, its ok to be anti authority, its ok to not listen to anyone, its ok to do absolutely anything you want with punishment its a true wonder how they can turn out any better.

I agree with elliots point aswell but that might just be unavoidable. Most children these days grow up in a well developed area. Where there is nothing left in nature to visit. Maybe development is ruining our children to.

but let out and preggers only comes from not being let out to begin with?

also, children aren't worked/disciplined/etc enough. life is easy for a child, maybe they get themselves let out and preggers to make it more of a challenge?

meh, i hate children, i hate children's parents.

BUT there are alot of nice children out there. unfortunately they're just the ones we don't hear about, because they keep to themselves like they bloody should.

I dunno what's causing all this to happen, children being moron's, but it really has to stop. The other day Coops and I were driving to HJ's, and we saw a kid, no older then 10, smoking. I stared at the kid and gave him a wierd look, so he flipped me off, yelled "CUNT!", and threw some loose change at the car.

Me and Coops were all "Ftw?". My question is, where the feck are the damn parents?

Yeah agreed Deanman.

That's pretty bad and effed. Kids smoking...

Some parents just don't do it right, and it just leaves their kids getting into all the kinds of things we don't want to see.....Sometimes all the parents aren't that bad, they either just don't spend enough time with their children and teaching them what's wrong and right, or some just spend far too much time with work. Then there is the horrible parents that either neglect their kids or simply don't give a shit what they do....
It's upsetting...And as deanman said...a big ftw.

they all need Boundries... that's how I grew up, boundries. Hell, I didn't even know that there was more to the world other then Australia, up untill grade 5.... I just thought my Samoan mate went to the beach alot, and had a real bad-ass tan.... I swear my parents paid that school to teach me wrong.

Edit: Sounds amazingly stupid... but it's true.

children, boundaries.

that's bloody right, they oughta know well that when you cross a certain line, daddy gets his two-foot-long bit of PVC pipe... and after that, it's just a matter of glaring at them and reminding them that there is indeed a line, and that they should think about how close they are to crossing it.

dogs too, you'll probably never need to be violent with a dog, but there needs to be boundaries. you piss in the house, you get your face stuck in it.

okay i almost got woped out to day by some little grade eights that were running around the corridors ... i said "hoi, cut that out" they looked at me like i was stupid and said "feck off you stupid bish" (well not really .. they said it ruder) and i was like "excuse me you dont talk to people like that" and these little ones go "cant feckin tell me what to do you s..t"

i was shocked

it was like after accounting ... then a similar scenario occured before bio ... i knew not to say anything this time

but serious .... who taught these kids that it was okay to talk to people like that

children are just... i never heard of that sort of stuff, even when i was in grade 8/9. gotta wonder, where did all this shit come from so quickly? is it the acceptance stadards of the school, do parents just hear about our policy of tolerating all kinds of bullshit?

it does, too. i honestly believe it to be in my power to spit square in Ms grandelis's face, and talk my way out of it afterwards, even though it would affect my standing within the staff and stuff... they just tolerate so... much... crap!

when i'm supreme dictator-president of vondamba, hammerings will become mandatory on backchat/acting out. or whenever i feel like hammering someone... you can do that as supreme dictator-president of vondamba, you know?

I remember when I was a youngun', every Tuesday night was McDonald's night, I waited anxiously for 6pm so we could go to McDonalds and get a Happy Meal and a toy... That was years ago now.. I miss them days, even now...

Now, people wait anxiously to have a fricken home cooked meal... Cause we are always rushed off our feet...

Is the value of the human being declining in wake of "a better life"?

I have a rule that I am constantly applying to my life.

Why is life so complicated? Because people complicate it. Feelings for people all the time, too many commitments, too many things to do. Trying to give everybody your upmost attention. Another thing, why people complicate things and whatnot, is because they have no idea what they want to do, or what or who they are living for. People should figure out their order their priorities, before they plan anything. Figure out your priorities then life is a heck of a lot easier to live. I can use me for an example. My life isnt complicated. Why? Because I got my priorities right:

1. God
2. Family/Friends
3. Music
4. School

All 4 of them are important, but I find people more important than a peice of paper. I apply number 1 to the other 3. So that way its easier.... The way to live my life.

I blame some of it one R&B.... but that's 99% because I hate the feckin music. But seriously, MTV has taken a big part in this. My little cousins have never, ever watched pay-tv, and they're the most polite, down to earth dudes, and dudette, I know. The youngest still throws a tantrem here and there, but nothin a good hittin' won't fix. Also, there's another thing, parents should be aloud to hit their kids, if needed. My dad has only needed to hit me once, then the bastard just used Fear against me. I was so scared, that I wouldn't do anything bad, because I thought he'd find out.

I brought this up with a mate of mine, and he agreed, saying that his cousin gets everything she wants, and I met her.... she's a fat, greedy slut. No joke. Now Matt has been hit when needed, and he's just another, regular dude.

I think it's utter BS that hitting your kids is now illegal... we should all rise up against that law! (and yes, there is a law now against it)
