i plan to make purchase at some stage of a computer. yes, one of those box things with the flashing lights and data tape... or something. pricerange would be $700-$1000, for that i need the whole kit, minus speakers. i've got $200 so far, putting aside either $50 or $100 a week.

after that, i'm gonna try and get broadband hooked up to it, in my room. i can pay pretty much whatever for it, but i don't wanna spend $20 a month only to find out that i've got a 2gig/month download limit and locked in for 24 months...

so yeah, this is basically about finding someone who knows what they're talking about, and can take me through it when the time for buying something comes, make sure i'm not being sold a shifty piece of crap...

youtube, that'd be about it really... just, dialup gives me the shits. always disconnecting on me and stuff. not to mention having to wait 20 seconds for ben's sunset pics to load...

the idea is, that if i decide to stop going to school, or decide to do my schoolwork with some level of consistency, i'll have alot of spare time. and i can only go out for walks at 10pm so many times before i gotta hammer someone...

edit: back to pc, i'd be looking for a box that i can tuck in beside my bed, so nothing like that great beast of a thing neilsen's got. i'm not a gamer, but i like to be able to run things for when i change my mind, nothing too flash. i've got a pair of good quality earphones, that takes care of speakers, and i'm happy with any keyboard/mouse as long as it's not going 'takka-takka-takka' loud enough to be heard from nextdoor.
